Platanus d.o.o. travel agency recognizes and values your right to data privacy and is committed to maintaining the security of data collected through www.platanus.hr. Platanus d.o.o. collects, processes, and stores your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable regulations. Data will not be forwarded to third parties or transferred to third countries, except where necessary for the fulfillment of contracted services (e.g. accommodation, airline, carrier, insurance). Continued use of www.platanus.hr will be considered as your acceptance of all the terms described below.

2. USE OF PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data is collected and used solely on the basis of information you have voluntarily provided to Platanus d.o.o. through www.platanus.hr. Collected personal data is stored in both electronic and paper form, and all appropriate technical and organizational measures are applied to prevent personal data breaches. Emails received containing your personal data will be used by Platanus d.o.o. solely for the purpose of fulfilling your requests.

3. RESERVATIONS

When booking accommodation, travel, car rental, or other services from Platanus d.o.o., personal data will be required for the lead passenger, who must be an adult (e.g. name, address, contact phone number, etc.), as well as data for other service users (e.g. name, date of birth). Only the data strictly necessary for service fulfillment will be made available exclusively to partners involved in delivery (e.g. accommodation, transport, insurance, and travel escorts). Payment data (e.g. card number, expiry date) is specially protected and will be accessible only to banks or card processors for payment authorization.

4. COOKIES

Cookies enable Platanus d.o.o. to collect statistical data about user behavior on www.platanus.hr (e.g. which parts of the website users spend the most and least time on, which browser they use, etc.). Cookies are a small set of data sent from the Platanus web server to the user’s computer and serve as an anonymous identifier. Cookies are also used to facilitate navigation through the website (e.g. so you don’t have to re-enter login details each time). Cookies are not used to access user data or to track user activity after leaving the Platanus website. Platanus d.o.o. reserves the right to use cookies on its website, but each user may block cookies by adjusting their browser settings. The Platanus d.o.o. website contains links to other websites (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, hotels, airports, weather forecasts). Accordingly, we advise and ask users to note that Platanus cannot be held responsible for privacy practices on those websites, and we encourage users to read the Privacy Statement of each website they visit.

6. DIGITAL MARKETING

Contact information such as name and email address is required if you wish to receive promotional materials from Platanus. Promotional materials include information about services, special offers, and news (newsletter). This service can be disabled at any time by sending a request for removal from the digital marketing list to sales@platanus.hr.

7. SECURITY

Platanus d.o.o. takes all security measures to protect user data during input and transmission, data processing, and storage. Access to data is restricted to only those employees who require it for business activities. Users have the right at any time to request information about which of their personal data is being processed by Platanus, or to have it amended or deleted, by sending a request to sales@platanus.hr.

General Terms and Conditions of Online Ticket Sales

1. General Provisions

Article 1. These general terms and conditions of online ticket sales define the conditions under which Platanus d.o.o. (hereinafter: Platanus d.o.o.), as the ticket sales service provider, will offer shuttle bus ticket sales through its website www.platanus.hr.

2. Transport Contract

Article 2. Platanus d.o.o. provides ticket sales for departures pre-defined on www.platanus.hr. Seat reservations without ticket purchase are not possible. The Transport Contract is considered concluded upon successful completion of the payment transaction, after which the ticket/receipt is delivered to the buyer’s email address.

3. Ticket and Receipt Delivery

Article 3. The buyer is required to present the delivered ticket/receipt to the driver upon boarding the bus (either in electronic form or printed).

4. Fees and Payment Methods

Article 4. Ticket price information is available on www.platanus.hr and at the carrier’s points of sale (Dubrovnik Airport and the sales office at Petra Krešimira IV 5/A – Cable Car station). Tickets purchased online can be paid by any credit card. Installment payments are not permitted.

5. Sales Deadlines

Article 5. Tickets referred to in Article 2 of these General Terms may be purchased on www.platanus.hr no later than 24 hours before the vehicle’s departure.

6. Refund Policy

Article 6. The carrier undertakes to refund the passenger the transport fare less a 20% administrative fee, provided the passenger cancels the journey and submits a request to the carrier no later than 24 hours before the start of travel, with a valid reason.

If the passenger submits a request for a refund for the unused portion of a return ticket within its validity period and with a justified reason, the carrier will deduct the one-way fare and a 20% administrative fee from the paid return ticket price and refund the difference to the passenger.

The validity period of a return ticket is calculated from the date travel commenced and is valid for 15 days.

The carrier is not obliged to issue a refund for tickets that are lost, damaged, or destroyed, or for tickets cancelled after the deadline specified in Article 6.

A passenger who, through their own fault, traveled with a different carrier than the one for whom they purchased the ticket has no right to a refund.

The carrier is not obliged to issue a refund if the passenger missed the transport due to their own fault or the fault of a third party (flight delay, detention at the airport).

The carrier is not obliged to issue refunds for tickets purchased at other points of sale (other than Dubrovnik Airport and the sales office at Petra Krešimira IV 5/A – Cable Car station).

Refunds are processed exclusively in writing, with the ticket enclosed. If the refund request is submitted within the applicable deadlines and accompanied by a complete, undamaged ticket, the carrier will consider the request.

Article 7. Refund requests should be submitted by email to sales@platanus.hr or by registered post to: Platanus d.o.o., Na vodi 1, 20233 Trsteno.

Requests for refunds of amounts paid through the online system must include the transaction number (ticket number/code). Refunds are processed in accordance with the user’s agreement with their card issuer (credited to the user’s account or deducted from their next card statement, etc.). The carrier has no visibility into how the refund is processed.

Refund requests for amounts paid by bank transfer must include the passenger’s FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, ADDRESS, OIB (Croatian tax ID), and the correct IBAN to which the refund is to be made. Refunds are paid exclusively to the account specified in the refund request.

7. Change of Departure Time

Article 8. Changes to the departure time for a ticket purchased online are possible only by calling at least 72 hours before travel on +385 20 358 516, Monday to Friday, between 10:00 and 18:00.

9. Final Provisions

Article 10. The carrier may amend these General Terms in accordance with its business policy and applicable laws and EU regulations.

Article 11. These General Terms enter into force on the date of adoption and are available to passengers on the carrier’s website www.platanus.hr from 01.01.2025.

10. Privacy Statement

Platanus d.o.o. is committed to providing protection of customers’ personal data by collecting only the minimum data necessary to fulfill our obligations, informing customers about how collected data is used, regularly giving customers the choice regarding the use of their data — including whether or not they want their name removed from marketing lists. All customer data is strictly protected and accessible only to employees who require it to perform their duties. All Platanus employees and business partners are responsible for upholding privacy protection principles.

11. Security Statement

Platanus uses WSPay for online payments. WSPay is a secure online payment system enabling real-time payments by credit and debit cards and other payment methods. WSPay ensures secure entry and transfer of card data for both buyers and merchants, as confirmed by its PCI DSS certification. WSPay uses a 256-bit SSL certificate and TLS 1.2 cryptographic protocol as the highest levels of protection during data entry and transmission.

WSPay, as the processor of credit card authorization and billing, handles personal data as a data processor and does so in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council No. 2016/679 and the strict rules of PCI DSS L1 data protection standards.

Personal data used for the purpose of authorization and billing, i.e. the fulfillment of contractual obligations, is considered confidential.

The following personal data of the buyer is required to fulfill the contract (authorization and billing): First and last name, Email, Phone, Address, City, Postal code, Country, Card type, Card number, Card expiry date, Card CVV code.

WSPay does not process or use this personal data for any purpose other than fulfilling the authorization and billing contract. WSPay guarantees compliance with all conditions set by applicable personal data protection regulations for data processors, and in particular the implementation of all necessary technical, organizational, and security measures, as confirmed by its PCI DSS L1 certification.
